Job Description


We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who will play a critical role in managing the product development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality standards, and driving efficient procurement processes. As a member of our Product Development team, you will define and execute the product strategy, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and oversee product delivery. You will responsible for Quality Assurance Analysis, will focus on testing and ensuring the reliability and quality of finished products. you will lead strategic sourcing initiatives and optimize procurement activities. Your combined efforts will contribute to the successful development, quality assurance, and procurement of our products.

Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy and Development:

- Identification of the products and define, communicate the product vision, goals, and roadmap based on market research and customer feedback.

- Coordinate with formulation team and finalize the products based on market research.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize features.

- Coordinate cross-functional teams to align product development activities, provide clear direction, and ensure timely delivery.

- Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, including defining specifications, managing sprints, and conducting user acceptance testing.

- Product Design: Collaborate with designers to create intuitive packaging designs and engaging user experiences that meet customer needs and align with the product vision.

- Understanding of Relevant Packaging Compatibility and how it relates to products.

- Metrics and Analytics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product performance, gather user feedback, and drive data-driven decision-making.

- Product Launch and Adoption: Develop launch plans, coordinate go-to-market strategies, and collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive product adoption and success.

- Candidate should have in-depth knowledge of advanced ingredients & chemistry related to cosmetics

- Stay well informed of current and developing industry trends - novel chemistry, new essential oils, marketplace trends, legal metrology & packaging guidelines.

- Maintain clear and accurate records of formulations, procedures, observations, and results along with safety and hygiene SOP\'s.

- Proactively maintaining production stocks of RM & PM. Aligning team to achieve production targets

- Daily reporting with superiors in Hierarchy for Production planning.

- Knowledge of global cosmetic regulations and understanding of regulatory monographs and standards.

- Ensure timely completion of entire product cycle including sampling, quality control, production and delivery of finished products.

2. Quality Assurance:

- Collaborate with formulators, Production and Packaging team to define test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.

- Review of analytical raw data and reports of raw materials in process, finished products, and stability studies.

- Define, develop and implement quality assurance practices and procedures, standards, and specifications.

- Monitor, analyze and report on quality performance, identifying areas for improvement.

- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the materials and products for defects and deviations from specifications

- Collaborate with contract manufacturers to enhance their processes based on QA feedback.

- Document and maintain records of all quality assurance activities and create audit reports.

- Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation, particularly those related to cosmetics and wellness products.

- Liaise with customer auditors and ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with customer specifications.

- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to identify defects and validate products.

- Develop and execute automated test scripts to streamline testing processes.

3. Procurement Management:

- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.

- Optimize procurement activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define procurement requirements and identify potential vendors.

- Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.

- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.

- Must have knowledge about RM of color cosmetics and Vendors from whom to buy

- Attending product launches and networking with industry professionals

- Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.

Requirements and Skills:

- 10-12 years\' work experience as a product manager or as an associate product manager in cosmetic/personal care/Ayurvedic/Food industry.

- B.S. or M.S. in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related scientific discipline

- In-Depth Knowledge of cosmetic/personal care raw materials, functionality, and interactions.

- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle

- Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management

- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one\'s sleeves to get the job

- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
