B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or related field
Job Purpose:-
To manage and implement organic farming operations, ensure crop health and yield, maintain organic certification standards, and support sustainable agricultural practices that align with the organization's goals.
Key Responsibilities:-
1. Farm Operations Management
Plan and execute crop cultivation schedules (sowing, irrigation, harvesting).
Oversee day-to-day field activities and manpower.
Ensure use of organic fertilizers, bio-pesticides, and composting processes.
2. Crop Planning & Maintenance
Select appropriate crops as per soil, season, and market demand.
Monitor soil health, pest control, and disease management using organic methods.
Maintain farm hygiene and irrigation efficiency.
3. Quality & Compliance
Maintain documentation for organic certification (NPOP/NABARD standards).
Ensure all inputs are certified organic and maintain traceability records.
Coordinate with certification agencies for audits and inspections.
4. Innovation & Sustainable Practices
Introduce natural farming techniques (Jeevamrut, Vermicompost, Mulching, Drip).
Implement water conservation and waste management systems.
Support training programs for farm workers on organic practices.
5. Reporting & Coordination
Maintain records of farm yield, expenses, and stock of organic inputs.
Report weekly updates to management (growth, pest issues, production cost).
Coordinate with suppliers for seeds, compost, and bio-fertilizers.
