Oracle WACS - Technical Lead for Conversion Support | 5+ Years | Remote | Work Timings- Standard IST | 6 Months Extendable

Responsibilities:

Lead the technical team responsible for data conversion from legacy systems to Oracle WACS. Develop and execute a comprehensive data conversion strategy, including planning, design, development, testing, and implementation. Analyze legacy data sources to understand data structures, quality, and relationships, and determine the best approach for data extraction and transformation. Design and develop data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using appropriate tools and technologies (e.g., Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), SQL, PL/SQL). Develop data mapping specifications to define how data from legacy systems will be mapped to Oracle WACS. Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the conversion process by implementing data validation and cleansing procedures. Manage the development of data conversion scripts and programs, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. Coordinate with functional teams, business analysts, and data owners to ensure data requirements are met and data conversion aligns with business needs. Perform data reconciliation and validation to verify the accuracy and completeness of the converted data. Identify and resolve data conversion issues, including data discrepancies, errors, and inconsistencies. Develop and maintain data conversion documentation, including data mapping specifications, ETL processes, and data validation procedures. Manage the setup and configuration of data conversion environments. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the data conversion team. Collaborate with the WACS implementation team to ensure a smooth transition from data conversion to system go-live. Participate in cutover planning and execution activities related to data migration.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in data conversion projects, with a focus on Oracle WACS or similar asset management systems. Strong technical expertise in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL. Experience with data mapping, data modeling, and data analysis. Solid understanding of data quality concepts and data validation techniques. Experience with data conversion tools such as Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) is highly preferred. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and manage a technical team. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities.

Additional Desired Competencies:

Oracle WACS certification. Experience with Oracle Utilities products. Knowledge of utility industry business processes and data. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript). Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ?70,000.00 - ?80,000.00 per month
