Job Description


Intermediate consulting position operating independently with some assistance and guidance to provide quality work products to a project team or customer that comply with Oracle methodologies and practices. Performs standard duties and tasks with some variation to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer specifications. As a Middleware Senior Middleware Consultant here at Oracle, you will be part of a global team that is responsible for the implementation, support, and operations of the Middleware, Oracle Cloud and Integration Platform technology stacks and related customer environments.

Standard assignments are accomplished without assistance by exercising independent judgment, within defined policies and processes, to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. Your key Responsibilities include :
  • Provide root cause analysis, fix resolution, implementation support, and continuous process improvement
  • Create and maintain automation tools such as startup/shutdown scripts, monitoring/performance tools, diagnostic tools and health check reports
  • Track Oracle patches and security updates to determine how it impacts existing deployed infrastructure
  • Ability to understand complex Middleware implementations and resolve defects and develop enhancements
  • Resolve complex or previously unknown issues, requiring expert technical knowledge and business acumen
  • Establish and apply best practices, to ensure successful implementation of solution designs through collaborative project team communication, planning documentation, system testing, and defect resolution
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple environments effectively and account for differences
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, infrastructure upgrades and system resource optimization.
  • Support and maintain existing application interfaces using middleware tools.
  • Introduce new technologies to enhance the middleware tools infrastructure environment
Our desired skills include:
  • Excellent Development skills and verbal, written, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with conflicting priorities and fluctuating operational workload
  • 5 years technical experience with Fusion Middleware, Oracle SOA Suite (B2B, BPM, BPEL, ESB, OSB, AIA).
  • Experience with server performance tuning, including analysis of thread/core dumps, JVM heap size, load balancing, disaster recovery and clustering
  • Experience with application performance, monitoring, and alerting tools such as Nagios, SiteScope
  • 5 years of solid programming experience using OIC, SOA (10g,11g &12C), REST API, ADF, Spring, SOA/BPM,
  • Competency automating routine WebLogic admin tasks using scripting languages like WLST, Python, Perl, or equivalent tools
  • Strong knowledge in working with Web services and API technologies (REST, XML/JSON, SOAP, WSDL, XSD/XSLT), including domain microservices
  • 2 years of solid understanding of cloud integration architecture, including implementation experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Oracle Integration Cloud will be plus.
  • Programming competency using SQL and PL/SQL in tuning and optimizing complex database queries.
