Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
EDI Integration & Development:

• Design and Develop EDI Solutions: Develop EDI interfaces within Oracle EBS for automated exchange of business documents (such as Purchase Orders, Invoices, Shipping Notices, etc.) with trading partners and external systems.
• EDI Mapping: Implement EDI mappings and transformations (e.g., X12, EDIFACT, or XML) to ensure that documents are properly formatted for EBS and external partner systems.
• EDI Communication Setup: Configure communication protocols (FTP, SFTP, AS2, VAN) for EDI transactions to ensure secure, reliable transmission of data.
• Error Handling & Exception Management: Implement robust error handling mechanisms for EDI transactions, including logging, monitoring, and automated alerts for failure scenarios.

SOA Middleware Integration:

• SOA-Based Integrations: Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using Oracle SOA Suite or other middleware platforms, including web services (SOAP, REST) for seamless data exchange between EBS, external systems, and third-party applications.
• Web Services & APIs: Leverage Oracle SOA Suite to expose Oracle EBS business logic as web services and consume external services to integrate data flows between EBS and other systems.
• SOA Governance: Ensure that SOA services adhere to governance best practices, security protocols, and versioning policies.

Oracle EBS Configuration & Development:

• Configure Oracle EBS Modules: Set up relevant Oracle EBS modules (such as Oracle Purchasing, Oracle Payables, Oracle Receivables, and Oracle Order Management) for EDI and SOA middleware integrations.
• Develop Custom Interfaces: Write custom PL/SQL programs, APIs, and interfaces to enable data exchanges between Oracle EBS and external systems using SOA or EDI tools.
• Integration Optimization: Ensure efficient integration by optimizing performance and scalability of Oracle EBS to external systems through middleware.

Testing & Troubleshooting:

• EDI & SOA Testing: Conduct thorough testing of all EDI and SOA-based integrations to ensure proper data exchange, validation, and communication.
• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments related to EDI transactions or SOA integration points, ensuring minimal downtime.
• System Monitoring: Monitor the health of EDI interfaces and SOA services, identifying and resolving issues proactively.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with IT, business operations, and external partners to gather business requirements and deliver integration solutions that meet business needs.
• Vendor and Partner Management: Communicate with external vendors and trading partners to ensure smooth onboarding of EDI integrations and to troubleshoot any integration issues.
• Provide Technical Support: Offer technical support and resolution for EDI, SOA, and Oracle EBS integration issues for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
