ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Oracle Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Oracle database applications. You will work closely with other developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to create scalable, high-performance database solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Development:

Design, develop, and maintain complex database systems and applications using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.

Performance Tuning:

Analyze and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing strategies, and optimization of database objects.

Stored Procedures & Functions:

Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and other database objects.

Data Modeling:

Collaborate with business analysts and other developers to design and implement data models that support business requirements and ensure data integrity.

ETL Processes:

Design and develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to manage data migration and integration between different systems.

Database Security:

Implement and maintain database security measures, including user roles, permissions, and data encryption to ensure data protection and compliance.

Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of database designs, development processes, and procedures.

Collaboration:

Work closely with application developers, system administrators, and other IT teams to integrate Oracle database solutions with other enterprise applications.

Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, providing support and expertise for database environments.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with the latest Oracle technologies and best practices, applying them to improve database systems and processes.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

+ Minimum of [X] years of experience as an Oracle Developer.
+ Strong experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and database design.
+ Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and database indexing.
+ Familiarity with Oracle database administration tasks.

Technical Skills:

+ Proficiency in data modeling and database schema design.
+ Experience with ETL tools and processes.
+ Knowledge of Oracle tools and utilities such as SQL*Loader, Oracle Data Pump, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
+ Understanding of Oracle APEX, Forms, and Reports is a plus.
+ Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
