Responsibilites:

• Help with Data Center migration and migrating on premise db servers to new servers.
• Develop data migration sub-project plans with Project Manager.
• Responsible for planning and designing Oracle database specifications, understanding database definition, structure, and long range requirements.
• Support customer troubleshooting and problem solving during data verification.
• Define, track, and maintain standard baselines and configuration sets of all managed and/or monitored database instances and servers and implement industry best practices with regards to the following:
• Resource allocation and monitoring
• Performance problem identification and resolution assistance
• Oracle Automatic Storage Management (Oracle ASM) and Oracle Data Guard.
• Data security and recovery
• Data and database health practices
• Oracle interim patch management using OPatch utility and System capacity planning.
• Develop and maintain storage strategies, establishing system documentation and database recovery processing.
• Identify and initiate resolutions to user problems associated with database performance and database capacity, utilizing best practices to maximize up time and server utilization.
• Review and deploy the database components for new versions of web applications/products to test and production environments using release management practices.
• Willingness to provide support in non-business hours, weekend bi-weekly on-call rotation for support. Responsible for DR tests on regular basis.

Technical Skills:

• 7-10 years of experience of experience in Oracle Database management or DB Migration.
• Mongo DB knowledge would be helpful and may need to work once trained.
• Experience in advance features of the Oracle Database like RAC, ASM, Data guard, FSFO etc.
• Experience in Multitenant database administration
• Good understanding & experience of Grid infrastructure
• Good understanding & experience of Backup and Recovery
• Good exposure & working experience in Database upgrade & migration methods
• Strong experience with Oracle Automatic Storage Management (Oracle ASM) and Oracle Data Guard in 12c R1 (preferred) or 11g R2 versions
• Strong experience in DB Administration & Troubleshooting skill including performance assessment via various Oracle tools e. g. OEM, Shell script, SQL Trace, SQLT etc.
• Good understanding of DB Management thru Oracle Enterprise Management (OEM)
• Hands-on experience with Golden Gate is must.
• Exposure to Unix operating system i. e. Linux, AIX
• Understanding of Network / Firewall etc.
• Should have worked on performing migration of oracle database from one platform to another with multiple approach
• Conduct periodic assessments and work trend analysis & suggest proactive problem management
• Maintain Services definition documentation
• Strong performance tuning skills in a very large database environment.
• Having sound knowledge of ITIL practices like Change Management, Incident Management etc.

• Nine or more years of relevant experience in relational database management system
