Job Description

As an Oracle Database Administrator (L3), you will be responsible for the design,


implementation, performance tuning, high availability, backup/recovery, and


advanced troubleshooting of Oracle databases in mission-critical environments. This is a


senior-level position that requires deep technical expertise, the ability to handle


escalations, and close collaboration with application, infrastructure, and security teams.



Key Responsibilities:


Provide L3 support for Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c, and newer).

Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and
migrations.


Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (RMAN, Data Guard,
GoldenGate).


Perform database performance tuning (SQL tuning, AWR, ASH, partitioning,
indexing strategies).


Ensure database security, auditing, and compliance with enterprise policies.

Design and manage high availability (RAC, ASM, Data Guard, clustering
solutions).


Implement and maintain database monitoring, capacity planning, and
automation.


Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues escalated from L1/L2 teams.

Collaborate with developers, application owners, and system admins to optimize
database usage.


Create and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and knowledge base
articles.


Participate in on-call support rotation and provide RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for
P1/P2 incidents.



Required Skills & Experience:


7-12+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration.

Expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, RMAN.

Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, partitioning, indexing, and performance
tuning.


Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Cloud Control.

Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments (shell scripting for automation).

Experience with database security, encryption, auditing, and compliance
frameworks.


Familiarity with cloud-based Oracle DB solutions (OCI, AWS RDS for Oracle,
Azure) is a plus.


Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.

Willing to work in rotational shift (shift & cab allowances are provided).
