Role

OneShield is looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to take responsibility for our internal development and client production database infrastructure in AWS. The DBA will work together with other DBAs within TechOps team.

Job Responsibilities

Installation, implementation, and support for all databases in AWS. Develops and maintains infrastructure code to install, configure, upgrade and patch database software Designs, implements, maintains, and troubleshoots data replication pipelines and backups Works with Development teams to analyze data and ensure consistency with Data Architecture Standards. Leverages DevOps automation tools such as Bamboo/Jenkins Performs system administration functions including tuning, performance monitoring, security monitoring, and system upgrades. Evaluates, recommends, and implements production/non-production enhancements including storage and backup management. Works with application developers and systems engineers to ensure optimal performance of production systems. Plans and implements new processes and automations within the database services group. Design and deploy mission critical applications. Working hours are 3 PM EST to 12 AM EST with on call whenever required.

Education

A full-time Bachelors'/Masters' Degree from a recognized university.

Experience

Minimum 4 years of experience as an Oracle DBA managing both Production and Development databases
