Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Cloud Architect with

15+ years

of overall IT experience and deep expertise in

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

The role involves designing, architecting, and governing large-scale, secure, and highly available OCI environments, leading cloud transformation initiatives, and providing architectural oversight across compute, network, storage, database, and security domains.

Key Responsibilities

OCI Architecture & Design

Design and implement enterprise-scale OCI architectures using best practices for availability, scalability, performance, and security. Define landing zones, tenancy design, compartment strategy, IAM policies, tagging, and governance models. Architect multi-region, high-availability, and disaster recovery solutions. Lead cloud migration strategies from on-premises and hybrid environments to OCI.

Compute, Network & Storage

Architect OCI compute solutions using VMs, Bare Metal, autoscaling, and container services (OKE). Design advanced OCI networking: VCNs, subnets, DRGs, FastConnect, VPN, load balancers, and traffic management. Architect storage solutions using OCI Block Volume, Object Storage, File Storage, and backup policies.

Database & Middleware

Architect Oracle Database solutions including Exadata Cloud Service, Autonomous Database, RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate. Design performance-optimized and secure database architectures in OCI. Guide middleware and application integrations with OCI services.

Security & Governance

Define OCI security architecture including

IAM

,

KMS

,

Vault

,

Cloud Guard

,

Security Zones, and WAF.

Ensure compliance with enterprise security, regulatory, and audit requirements. Implement monitoring, logging, and cost-management frameworks.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

Act as a technical authority and escalation point for cloud architecture decisions. Mentor engineering teams and review designs, implementations, and best practices. Collaborate with business, security, and application teams to align cloud strategy with business objectives.

Required Technical Skills

15+ years

of overall IT experience with strong

cloud architecture

background. Deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Strong knowledge of networking, storage, compute, and security architecture. Hands-on experience with Oracle databases (Exadata, RAC, Data Guard). Experience with hybrid cloud and on-prem to OCI migrations. Strong understanding of DevOps, IaC (Terraform), and automation.

Certifications (Mandatory / Preferred)

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Professional ( highly preferred)

OCI Architect Associate / Professional

Oracle Database certifications (OCP/OCE) - preferred TOGAF or other architecture frameworks - added advantage
