Oracle APEX Developer

We are seeking an experienced Oracle APEX Developer to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable web applications on the Oracle platform.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, DBAs, and engineers to deliver modern, data-driven solutions using Oracle APEX, Autonomous Database technologies, and REST-based integrations.

Key responsibilities include:

Design, develop, and maintain applications using Oracle APEX. Build, optimize, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions. Develop and consume RESTful services using Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS). Work with Autonomous Database technologies (ATP, ADW, AI Database). Design and process JSON-based data structures within Oracle. Integrate APEX applications with external systems and services. Optimize SQL queries and database performance. Develop dynamic front-end functionality using JavaScript. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions. Ensure application security, scalability, and maintainability. Produce clear technical documentation and follow best practices.

Experience required:

Strong hands-on experience with Oracle APEX. Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL and SQL. Experience with Oracle Autonomous Database (ATP, ADW, AI Database). Experience developing and consuming ORDS RESTful services. Solid understanding of JSON handling within Oracle Database. Experience or working knowledge of Vector Databases and semantic search concepts. Proficiency in JavaScript for APEX UI customisation. Experience with Python or Go for backend services, integrations, or automation. Understanding of modern application architectures and API-based integrations. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Preferred qualifications:

Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities with Oracle databases. Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Experience with performance tuning and advanced SQL optimisation. Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery environments. Oracle certifications (APEX, OCI, or Database). Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
