Job Description

Vaga Superspeciality hospital looking for a Optemetrist who has around 1-3 years of experience.

Patient Examinations:

Conduct thorough eye exams, visual acuity tests, visual field tests, and check intraocular pressure.

Diagnosis & Treatment:

Identify and manage eye diseases and vision disorders, sometimes prescribing therapeutic drugs.

Prescriptions:

Fit and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses (soft, toric, multifocal), and other vision aids.

Patient Education:

Counsel patients on eye hygiene, computer vision, diet, safety, and proper lens care.

Referrals:

Refer patients to ophthalmologists for advanced care or surgery when necessary.

Pre/Post-Operative Care:

Provide care for patients undergoing eye surgery (e.g., cataract, LASIK).

Systemic Health Monitoring:

Detect signs of systemic conditions like diabetes or hypertension through eye exams.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate patient medical records.
