Perform comprehensive eye examinations using advanced diagnostic tools
Prescribe appropriate corrective lenses (spectacles or contact lenses)
Diagnose and manage common vision problems like myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, etc.
Identify early signs of eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and refer to specialists if needed
Provide guidance on eye care, lens usage, and general visual hygiene
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and follow up as necessary
Assist patients in choosing suitable eyewear based on prescription and preferences
Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of optometric instruments
Support the clinic/store team in delivering quality patient care and services
Key Skills & Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Optometry (B.Optom / D.Optom)
Minimum 1 year of clinical or retail experience in optometry
Proficient in using eye examination tools (phoropter, retinoscope, autorefractor, slit lamp, etc.)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Basic computer knowledge for digital records and patient management
Friendly, patient-focused attitude with attention to detail
