Job Description






  • Collect the Patient Movement Form and tell the patient to wait for NCT/AR and Refraction

  • Call the patient after their turn

  • Explain the patients the need and importance of the NCT /AR procedure

  • Clear the doubts of patients politely

  • Clean and disinfect the NCT/AR Machine in front of patient

  • Change the chin rest paper for each patient

  • Follow the 5 step accuracy protocol for Refraction

  • Intimate the Lasik counseling department if patient have Lasik suitable power and direct patient to Lasik counseling

  • Take the Patient history

  • Perform vision tests and analyze results

  • Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness and eye diseases, such as glaucoma

  • Provide treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation

  • Provide pre- and post operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery\xe2\x80\x94for example, examining a patient\xe2\x80\x99s eyes the day after surgery

  • Evaluate patients for the presence of diseases such as diabetes.

  • Promote eye health by counseling patients, including explaining how to clean and wear contact lenses

  • Give training to the interns and B Sc students about the procedures in their posting place

  • Record the leave details of the B Sc students those have posting in the hospital

  • Discuss requirement, problems & improvements to be made in the weekly optometry meeting

  • IPD marking and complaint management

  • Dilated Examinations \xe2\x80\x93 DR, CR

  • Instrument management \xe2\x80\x93 Keratometer, Synoptophore, OCT, FFA AND B-SCAN

  • Any other responsibility assigned by the management
