Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including vision tests and ocular health assessments.
Prescribe corrective lenses and manage refractive errors.
Detect and manage common eye conditions and refer patients to specialists when required.
Educate patients about proper eye care, contact lens usage, and preventive measures.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
Community Coordination Duties
Plan, organize, and execute community eye health awareness programs and screening camps.
Build and maintain partnerships with schools, NGOs, healthcare providers, and local communities.
Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and volunteer support for outreach events.
Prepare reports, collect data, and share outcomes of community initiatives with management.
Promote eye health education through workshops, social media campaigns, and local events.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Bachelor's/Master's in Optometry from a recognized institution.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in community health programs or outreach (preferred).
Good organizational and project management abilities.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, data management tools).
