Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our dedicated team. As an Optometrist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive eye care services to our patients.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough eye examinations, including visual acuity, refraction, and ocular health assessments.

Diagnose and treat visual disorders, such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia. Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other vision aids. Identify and manage eye diseases, including glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration, referring patients for specialized treatment when necessary. Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries, such as LASIK or cataract surgery. Offer guidance and counseling on proper eye care, including lifestyle modifications and preventive measures. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including examination findings and treatment plans.
Requirements:

Degree in Optometry from an accredited institution. Valid state license to practice as an Optometrist. Proven experience working as an Optometrist, preferably in a clinical or hospital setting. Proficient in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and diagnosing visual disorders. Strong knowledge of ocular diseases and their treatment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients of diverse backgrounds. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for accurate record-keeping. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
