Job Description

Objective:
An Optometrist may perform an eye exam and write a prescription for corrective lenses, while an optician may fill that prescription.
The Optometrist plays a critical role in delivering high-quality eye care by conducting comprehensive eye examinations and providing personalized treatment recommendations. This position emphasizes patient-centered care, clinical accuracy, and professional judgment, ensuring patients receive thorough evaluations and clear guidance on corrective options such as spectacles, contact lenses, or surgical interventions. The Optometrist is responsible for building trust through strong interpersonal skills, maintaining detailed patient records, and utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment with precision. Their contributions directly impact patient outcomes and the overall efficiency of the clinical team, aligning with organizational goals and corporate standards.
Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations including AR, NCT, refraction, vision assessment, and dilation.
  • Clearly explain examination procedures and findings to patients in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Establish and maintain positive patient rapport throughout the visit.
  • Accurately document and update patient medical history and clinical data.
  • Provide evidence-based treatment recommendations, including prescriptions for spectacles, contact lenses, or referrals for surgery.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, patient-focused care through meticulous clinical practices.
