We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven
Optimization Specialist
to identify and implement process improvements across our glass manufacturing operations. This role focuses on increasing production efficiency, reducing waste, improving product quality, and optimizing resource utilization through data-driven strategies and continuous improvement methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and evaluate manufacturing processes in glass forming, annealing, cutting, and finishing to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement process optimization strategies using Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI (Continuous Improvement) methodologies.
Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to streamline workflows and reduce production downtime.
Utilize data analytics and process modeling tools to monitor performance metrics and recommend process changes.
Conduct root cause analysis for process inefficiencies and develop corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with automation and control teams to optimize machine performance and energy usage.
Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and compliance with industry standards.
Lead Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Create detailed reports and present optimization outcomes to senior management.
Ensure all optimization initiatives adhere to safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 1 years of experience in process optimization or industrial engineering, preferably in the
glass manufacturing industry
or other high-temperature material processing industries.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus).
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Minitab, or Power BI.
Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
Familiarity with furnace operations, forming processes, and quality control in glass production is highly desirable.

Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to high temperatures, noise, and glass materials
May require standing for long periods, occasional lifting, and wearing appropriate PPE
