Requirements:

Responsibilities



Lead and manage the optical services department across a cluster of

15 to 25 optical units

located in rural and semi-urban clinics. Define and execute strategic goals for optical services aligned with MedoPlus' healthcare delivery mission. Oversee

inventory planning, ordering, and supply chain

for optical frames, lenses, and equipment to ensure uninterrupted service. Ensure

compliance with optical and vision care guidelines

, health standards, and company SOPs. Supervise daily operations at optical counters, including

refraction tests, dispensing, billing, and customer service.

Drive

sales targets, revenue growth, and profitability

across all optical units. Implement

best practices in visual health services

, maintaining high-quality patient experiences and safety standards. Collaborate with

ophthalmologists, optometrists, and clinical staff

to deliver integrated and optimized vision care. Manage

staffing, task allocation, performance reviews

, and training programs for opticians and optical support staff. Plan and lead

local outreach initiatives

, eye camps, and awareness campaigns on vision health in the community.

Skills and Qualifications



Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's/Diploma in Optometry or Vision Science (required)

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a

supervisory/managerial role

in an optical retail chain or clinic-based optical service.

Licensure/Certification:

Optometry license is preferred.

Leadership Skills:

Proven ability to

lead multi-location teams

and manage operations at scale.

Sales & Retail Acumen:

Strong understanding of

optical product sales

, margin management, and customer engagement.

Technical Knowledge:

Familiarity with

refraction equipment, lens types, prescription processes

, and industry trends.

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication for internal coordination and public interaction.

Customer Focus:

High attention to

accuracy in dispensing, patient satisfaction
