Job Description

1. Key Responsibilities1. Operations & Sales Management

Oversee daily operations of the optical store ensuring premium service and smooth workflow. Achieve monthly sales targets and monitor performance metrics. Create and implement sales strategies, promotions, and upselling techniques. Maintain product display standards that reflect the hospital's high-end image.

2. Customer Service & Patient Care

Ensure every customer receives a five-star experience, from consultation to delivery. Handle escalated customer complaints professionally and promptly. Assist customers with lens and frame selection based on prescription, style, and budget. Coordinate with ophthalmologists to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment.

3. Inventory & Vendor Management

Manage stock levels, order products in time, and avoid shortages or overstocking. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct monthly stock audits. Negotiate with suppliers for the best pricing and premium product range.

4. Staff Management & Training

Lead, train, and motivate optical store staff to achieve targets and maintain service quality. Prepare duty rosters and manage staff scheduling. Conduct regular training sessions on new products, sales techniques, and customer handling.

5. Quality & Compliance

Ensure all optical work is completed to the highest quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the store in line with hospital standards. Adhere to all hospital policies, legal requirements, and ethical practices.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of optical products, lenses, and frames. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Malayalam & English). Leadership and team management abilities. Strong sales, negotiation, and customer handling skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet targets. Computer literacy (POS systems, MS Office).
