Job Overview

We are seeking a

dynamic and customer-focused Optical Sales Executive

to join the retail team at Vasan Eye Care Hospitals. The role is responsible for assisting customers in selecting quality eyewear, delivering excellent service, driving sales, and ensuring a memorable shopping experience that aligns with the brand's standards.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Sales

Greet and welcome customers with a professional and friendly approach. Understand customer needs and recommend the most suitable

frames, lenses, sunglasses, contact lenses

, and other optical products. Provide detailed product information, including features, benefits, pricing, and after-sales services. Accurately record customer measurements (e.g., PD, bridge width) and ensure proper frame fitting. Handle billing and sales entries using the POS system; manage cash/card transactions accurately. Meet or exceed daily and monthly individual sales targets and contribute to store goals.

Service & After-Sales Support

Assist with adjustments, minor repairs, and after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction. Address customer queries and feedback promptly and courteously.

Store Operations

Maintain attractive and organized product displays and showroom appearance. Monitor inventory levels, restock products, and report shortages. Coordinate with optometrists and optical staff for a smooth customer experience. Stay updated with current eyewear trends, lens technologies, and product offerings.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

Graduate or Diploma in any field. A background in

optical retail, optometry, or customer service

is a plus.

Experience

Minimum 1-2 years' experience

in optical sales, retail eyewear, or eye hospital environment preferred.

Skills & Competencies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Good product knowledge and ability to explain lens options. Basic computer skills and familiarity with billing. Result-oriented, professional, confident, and team-oriented.
