The Diesel Generator Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting diesel generator sets to ensure uninterrupted power supply. The role involves routine inspections, preventive maintenance, fuel management, and quick response to breakdowns or emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor diesel generator sets as per standard procedures
Start, stop, and synchronize generators when required
Monitor load, voltage, fuel levels, and control panels
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
Carry out minor repairs and report major issues.
Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma or ITI / technical certification ( Electrical preferred )
Experience in operating diesel generators
Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and safety practices
Skills Required
Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
Ability to read meters, gauges, and manuals
Good record-keeping and attention to detail
