About Role:
The Operations Manager will support and optimize financial resource allocation, ensure compliance, manage grants, and support strategic initiatives within the Youth program. This role requires close collaboration with project leads, finance teams, regional program teams, donors and thematic streams to drive operational excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Work closely with project leads, finance, regional program teams, donors , third party evaluators, and thematic teams to identify priority areas for financial resource allocation within regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.
Consolidate program progress reports and financial reports, sharing them with the Business Development unit,Donors and key Youth program team members.
Conduct thorough due diligence and cost-benefit analysis for resource optimization, providing ongoing mentorship to project leads.
Review contract requests, consultancy contracts, MOUs, and engagements to ensure compliance.
Work closely with the financial team for resource utilization, compliance, and with the Business Development unit for funding opportunities, proposals, and budget development.
Manage project resources and assigned budgets to prevent under- or over-spending, ensuring timely submission of reports and financial updates.
Ensure effective grant management using sub-grant management systems and project management tools, including proposal reviews, grant making, progress tracking, and course correction.
Support in analysis on processes related to operations, grant making, compliance in coordination with the Monitoring and evaluation and Finance team.
Provide analysis and support to MyQuest-Youth program-Youth program-Youth program and Quest Leadership Team to enhance financial resource utilization, maximizing impact and strengthening systems and processes.
Participate in professional and training events identified by MyQuest-Youth program-Youth program.
Contribute to the development of proposals for new projects or expansion.
Serve as the primary liaison between key internal teams like Business Development unit/FAIT in strengthening team relationships.
Perform other duties as assigned by MyQuest-Youth program-Youth program and Quest Alliance.
Qualifications:
A Postgraduate Degree in Project Management, Operations, or Finance (Required)
Any Certified Courses related to program/grants management (Desirable).
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, consulting, project management, and grants management.
Strongly preferred: Experience working in the nonprofit sector.
Thorough understanding of the grant-making field and relevant regulations including CSR laws.
Experience with complex contracts, agreements, and other related materials.
Strong planning and project management skills with high attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Preferred: Experience with digital project management tools.
Proven track record of delivering high-impact and high-quality services.
Demonstrated ability in report writing, cost-benefit analysis, and preparing program progress and financial reports for donors.
Skills:
Strong project management skills, high level of organization, and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and familiarity with technology software and platforms.
Awareness of sensitivity and gender inclusion in education, skills, and the workplace.
Proficiency in MS Office suite.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Passion for addressing the challenges of educating India's youth population.
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with multicultural teams, government ministries, and diverse stakeholders.
Capability to ensure quality deliverables and project timelines while maintaining high attention to detail.
Strong judgment, excellent English communication, and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to travel locally and across the country.

Salary:
The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 75,000/- per month (cost to company) (The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)
