Hotel Operations Manager - Swiss Holidays, Wayanad (Mazus Group)
Position Overview:
As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of Swiss Holidays - Vythiri, ensuring high standards of hospitality, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency in line with the Mazus Group's service excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1.
Guest Experience & Front Office
Ensure smooth front office operations and excellent guest service.
Handle VIP guests, special requests, and resolve complaints promptly.
Monitor guest feedback and implement service improvements.
2.
Staff Management
Recruit, train, and supervise front desk, housekeeping, and service staff.
Create staff schedules, ensure proper shift coverage.
Lead daily briefings and motivate team performance.
3.
Housekeeping & Maintenance
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and upkeep of all guest rooms and public areas.
Coordinate with maintenance for prompt repair of any faults.
Monitor laundry, linen, and inventory control.
4.
Food & Beverage Oversight
Coordinate with kitchen and service team for smooth F&B operations.
Maintain quality, hygiene, and timely service standards.
Review menu planning and cost control with the chef (if applicable).
5.
Revenue & Cost Control
Monitor room occupancy, revenue performance, and pricing strategy.
Minimize operational costs without compromising quality.
Assist in budgeting and monthly financial reporting.
6.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure hotel complies with local laws, fire safety, and hygiene standards.
Maintain licenses and statutory records (e.g., FSSAI, fire NOC).
Train staff in safety, emergency procedures, and SOPs.
7.
Vendor & Inventory Management
Liaise with suppliers and vendors for timely procurement.
Track usage and maintain stock levels for housekeeping and F&B.
Approve and manage vendor payments in coordination with accounts.
8.
Reporting & Communication
Report directly to Group General Manager/Owners with daily updates.
Submit weekly and monthly operational reports.
Coordinate with other group properties for standardization and best practices.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Operations Manager or Senior Supervisor in hotels/resorts.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Knowledge of hotel software systems (e.g., PMS, POS).
Fluency in English; local language proficiency is a plus.
Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management or related field.
