JobOverview We are seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to lead our Electric Vehicle (EV) bus fleet operations in Chennai. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end setup and management of EV bus service depots, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving operational efficiency.You will be responsible for bridging the gap between operational execution and strategic stakeholder management. Key Responsibilities

. Fleet & Depot Operations

Depot Management: Oversee the smooth functioning of daily city bus service operations across multiple depots. Manage the setup and ongoing maintenance of EV bus service depots.

Fleet Optimization: Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize fleet utilization and performance.

Technical Monitoring: Operate and monitor the Integrated Supervisory Control System to track fleet metrics and ensure seamless service delivery.

2. Operational Excellence & Maintenance

Continuous Improvement: Follow an operational excellence approach, utilizing continuous improvement methodologies to achieve high efficiency, quality, and enhanced customer value.

Maintenance Reporting: Conduct detailed reviews and generate reports on depot management, specifically focusing on breakdown analysis, daily maintenance work, and asset health.

Safety Protocol: Inspect accidents thoroughly and implement preventive actions and safety protocols to minimize future incidents.

3. Stakeholder & People Management

Team Leadership: Manage and lead a large workforce of 500+ operational staff, ensuring productivity and discipline.

Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary liaison for both internal and external stakeholders. This includes managing government/client relations, as well as overseeing bill settlements and financial reconciliations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise effectively with various internal teams to ensure operational goals are met.

Key Skills & Competencies

Language Proficiency: Fluency in Tamil is mandatory for local coordination. Proficiency in English and Hindi is highly preferred.

Business Acumen: Ability to grasp complex business nuances quickly and translate them into operational action.

Collaboration: Strong capability to liaise with cross-functional teams to get work done effectively.

Crisis Management: Ability to handle breakdowns, accidents, and operational bottlenecks with a preventive mindset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?100,000.00 - ?150,000.00 per year
