Qualification

:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.

Post-Graduate Diploma in Operations, Supply Chain, or Fleet Management will be strongly preferred.

Relevant certifications in Fleet Management, Six Sigma, Lean Operations, or Project Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

:- 8-12 years of progressive experience in operations management, fleet operations, logistics, mobility, last-mile delivery, or asset-heavy businesses.

Minimum 4-5 years in a leadership role managing large field teams, assets, and multi-location operations.

Proven experience handling city-level or regional operations with revenue, cost, compliance, and performance accountability.



The Operations Manager (Fleet) - Mumbai will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of fleet operations across Mumbai. This includes asset deployment, utilization, uptime, compliance, rider/driver operations, vendor management, cost control, and service performance.

The role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency, asset safety, revenue protection, and customer commitments. The incumbent will act as the single point of accountability for Mumbai fleet performance and will work closely with central operations, finance, engineering, recovery, and compliance teams.

Duties and Responsibilities



1. Fleet Operations & Asset Management



Oversee daily operations of the entire fleet (ECCs, batteries, chargers, accessories, and allied assets) across Mumbai.

Ensure optimal fleet deployment, utilization, uptime, and availability as per business demand.

Monitor asset movement, tracking, recovery, and reconciliation to prevent loss, misuse, or pilferage.

2. Operational Performance & Control



Drive city-level KPIs including deployment, utilization %, downtime, recovery, revenue realization, and cost efficiency.

Identify operational gaps, leakages, and inefficiencies; implement corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure disciplined execution of SOPs across hubs, technicians, and field teams.

3. People & Vendor Management



Lead, train, and manage city operations teams including hub managers, fleet executives, technicians, and support staff.

Manage third-party vendors, service partners, and logistics providers with clear SLAs and performance tracking.

Enforce discipline, attendance, productivity, and accountability across the operations team.

4. Compliance, Audit & Governance



Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory requirements, safety norms, and contractual obligations.

Support internal and external audits related to assets, inventory, recoveries, and financial controls.

Maintain accurate operational documentation and MIS for management review.

5. Financial & Recovery Oversight



Work closely with finance and recovery teams to ensure timely collection of dues from riders / partners.

Minimize revenue leakage, outstanding balances, and untraceable assets.

Support budgeting, cost monitoring, and expense optimization initiatives.

6. Stakeholder Coordination



Act as the primary operations interface for internal stakeholders including leadership, engineering, finance, and compliance.

Coordinate with client partners, aggregators, and enterprise customers for service delivery and issue resolution.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



Knowledge



Strong understanding of fleet operations, last-mile mobility, asset-heavy business models.

Working knowledge of compliance, audit processes, and internal controls.

Familiarity with operational MIS, dashboards, and performance reporting.
