A restaurant operations manager oversees daily restaurant operations, including staff management, customer satisfaction, and financial goals. Key responsibilities include scheduling staff, managing inventory and budgets, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and developing strategies to improve efficiency and guest experiences. Core responsibilities

Staff management

: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure consistent service quality.

Daily operations

: Coordinate and oversee all daily activities to ensure smooth operations from open to close.

Financial oversight

: Monitor revenue and expenses, manage budgets, control inventory, and order supplies to maintain profitability.

Customer satisfaction

: Respond to customer inquiries and complaints, and develop strategies to improve the overall guest experience.

Health and safety

: Ensure the restaurant complies with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including food safety standards.

Training and development

: Provide ongoing training for employees on new menu items, procedures, and customer service expectations.

Marketing and promotions

: Collaborate on marketing strategies and promotional events to attract and retain customers.

Reporting

: Prepare reports on sales, food costs, and staff performance.
