Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced and result-oriented Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of all divisions in the mall. This position demands strong leadership, a sharp understanding of retail dynamics, and the ability to manage large teams and multi-department operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Multi-Department Operations Management:
Ensure smooth functioning of all retail and F&B divisions including Hypermarket, Textiles, Restaurant, Bakery, Butchery, and Fancy section.
Standardize and implement SOPs for all departments to ensure consistent operations and customer service.
2. Staff Leadership & HR Coordination:
Supervise department managers and team leads.
Recruit, train, and evaluate staff performance across departments.
Foster a performance-driven culture and maintain high staff morale.
3. Inventory & Supply Chain Oversight:
Monitor stock levels, procurement cycles, and vendor management for each department.
Ensure efficient coordination between purchase, warehouse, and shop floor.
Reduce wastage, pilferage, and stock discrepancies through regular audits.
4. Sales & Revenue Management:
Analyze sales performance of each department and drive strategies to improve profitability.
Coordinate promotional activities, pricing strategies, and seasonal offers.
Prepare and monitor budgets, sales forecasts, and cost-control initiatives.
5. Customer Experience & Quality Control:
Ensure excellent customer service across all retail and food outlets.
Resolve customer issues effectively and maintain a positive reputation.
Ensure hygiene, safety, and service standards are strictly followed, especially in F&B sections.
6. Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all departments comply with local laws including FSSAI, health & safety, and labor regulations.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure fire safety, hygiene, and quality standards are met.
7. Reporting & Strategic Planning:
Submit weekly/monthly reports on operations, performance, and improvement plans.
Work with the management team on business strategy, expansion planning, and innovation.
Key Requirements:
MBA (Mandatory) in Retail/Operations/Business Management.
Minimum 10-15 years of proven experience in retail operations management, preferably in a multi-format shopping complex or chain store.
Strong leadership, decision-making, and people management skills.
Knowledge of POS systems, inventory software, and MS Office.
Excellent communication skills in Malayalam and English.
Hands-on approach, proactive attitude, and ability to multitask.
