The Manager - Operations will oversee end-to-end operational activities, including production management, order fulfilment, vendor coordination, and stock control. The role requires strong execution capabilities to ensure smooth daily operations and seamless coordination between production, logistics, sales, and management teams.
Key Responsibilities1. Unit Operations
Manage day-to-day production activities and ensure adherence to SOPs related to quality, hygiene, and safety.
Monitor production timelines and ensure outputs are aligned with order requirements.
Coordinate with quality and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and resolve operational issues.
2. Vendor & Procurement Management
Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and service vendors.
Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and service quality for packaging materials, raw inputs, and logistics support.
Oversee timely procurement to ensure uninterrupted operations and maintain inventory levels.
3. Database & Documentation
Maintain and update digital records for production, dispatch, stock, and sales.
Ensure systematic documentation of purchase orders, invoices, and related operational data.
Track material inflow and outflow through inventory management software or structured Excel dashboards.
4. Stock & Inventory Control
Supervise the storage of bottles, caps, cartons, and finished goods.
Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
Maintain optimum stock levels to balance cost-effectiveness and availability.
5. Interdepartmental Coordination
Work closely with sales, finance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth and timely execution of orders.
Provide periodic operational updates to senior management.
Collaborate with marketing teams by sharing data and dispatch timelines for client deliveries.
6. Client & Order Management
Coordinate with B2B clients for order planning, dispatch scheduling, and issue resolution.
Ensure accurate and timely fulfilment of customer orders.
Build and maintain professional, service-oriented client relationships.
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preference for candidates with exposure to Food Processing, Water Treatment, FMCG production, or related operations.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in unit operations, production coordination, or inventory management, preferably in:
Bottled water or beverage industry
FMCG manufacturing
Food or pharmaceutical packaging
Proven experience in vendor management and logistics coordination is essential.
Skills Required
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Proficiency in MS Excel
Effective communication skills (English, Hindi, Gujarati preferred)
Leadership qualities with attention to detail and process improvement mindset
Ability to perform under tight timelines and collaborate across departments
