ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Operations Manager, you'll be working closely with our Ongoing monitoring (first line of defence) team, in order to deliver a responsive, efficient and reliable service to ensure we continue to scale at a rapid pace and meet our regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for a number of Tide's critical workstreams and ensure they operate efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for a team that is continuously looking for optimisations, build and monitor KPI/SLA frameworks, represent the wider OM team at senior governance forums, implement operations methodologies and will investigate production issues. You will be working across streams such as transaction monitoring, fraud, sanctions screening, international payments and more!
You will report to the Director of Ongoing Monitoring within the Ongoing Monitoring team and have full ownership and management of a specific Ongoing Monitoring Function workstream, headcount and workload forecasts. You will work closely with Tide's technical and non-technical teams, analysing and excelling at solving problems to arrive at the right solution. In this role you'll become a key member of Tide's Ongoing Monitoring Leadership team, scaling our presence in the UK and our new EU markets.
As an Operations Management Lead, your areas of focus will include:
  • Leading the Operations Management team for Ongoing Monitoring, working across the AML & Prohibited Activities, Fraud and Financial Crime Intelligence and Reporting teams
  • Owning and managing all Ongoing Monitoring workstream capacity forecasts and budgets
  • Owning and defining Tide's SLAs within such workstreams and strategy for meeting these
  • Building reporting frameworks to ensure the success and efficiency of each workstream and communicating to senior audiences
  • Assessing data using Google Sheets and other visualisation tools to provide actionable insights
  • Analysis of large data sets in order to identify improvements within Financial Crime processes.
  • Proactively analysing and solving problems through collaboration with technical and non-technical teams to arrive at the right solution
  • Be the essential link between OM operational and product teams, looking for improvements on both sides, with the ultimate goal of mitigating financial crime risk with a best in class experience for the customer
  • Assessing opportunities for efficiency improvements, working with tech and non-tech teams to implement these changes
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You will be a great fit if:
  • You have over 8 years in an operations environment and have a track record in building a high performance culture
  • You speak fluent English
  • You are an effective communicator with solid reporting skills to technical and non-technical senior audiences
  • You have managed a team, have great people management skills and know how to get the best out people
  • You have a continuous improvement mindset and have implemented frameworks to ensure best in class operations
  • You enjoy working with data and have experience with business analytics tools: Excel and SQL
  • You have experience working with complex Fraud/AML/ Financial Crime processes
  • You have a great analytical mind and attention to detail
  • You have a curious nature and an impeccable attention to detail
  • You have worked in finance, consulting, technology or a regulated organisation.
  • You are customer-focused and a team player
  • Previous experience in an analytical role (consulting, banking, or professional services) is advantageous
