Position Overview
The Operations Head will lead and oversee all environment-related programs, including conservation, climate action, waste management, biodiversity protection, water stewardship, and community sustainability initiatives. The role ensures efficient program implementation, strong field operations, stakeholder engagement, and measurable environmental impact across project locations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Program Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement operational strategies for environment protection initiatives such as afforestation, climate resilience, waste reduction, water conservation, and renewable energy adoption.
Design frameworks and SOPs for project execution, monitoring, and evaluation.
Ensure alignment with NGO mission, donor expectations, and national/SDG environmental goals.
2. Field & Operations Management
Lead and manage day-to-day operations across all project sites.
Oversee environmental projects such as plantation drives, waste management programs, clean energy projects, conservation activities, and restoration campaigns.
Manage field teams, technical experts, volunteers, and community mobilizers.
3. Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact Measurement
Establish data-driven systems to track environmental impact (carbon reduction, water savings, waste diversion, biodiversity indicators, etc.).
Conduct periodic site reviews, audits, and field assessments.
Prepare impact reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
4. Stakeholder & Donor Coordination
Collaborate with government departments, academic institutions, local communities, corporates (CSR), and partner NGOs.
Support donor relations through project planning, reporting, and participation in reviews.
Ensure adherence to compliance standards for CSR and environmental regulations.
5. Budgeting & Resource Management
Prepare operational budgets and monitor project expenses.
Optimize resources--manpower, equipment, technology, and materials--across multiple projects.
Evaluate risks and implement mitigation strategies for sustainable operations.
6. Environmental Compliance & Governance
Ensure all programs follow environmental laws, safety regulations, and sustainability guidelines.
Maintain protocols related to waste handling, biodiversity protection, pollution control, and climate risk mitigation.
Develop policies for environmental stewardship, community safety, and ethical operations.

Qualifications & Experience
Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Natural Resource Management, Ecology, Environmental Engineering, or related fields (preferred).
5+ years of experience in environment-focused NGOs, CSR-driven environmental projects, or sustainability programs.
Experience working with government bodies, environmental experts, and community-led initiatives.
