Job Description

Role Definition



The Operations Head is responsible for overseeing and integrating all operational activities related to production and merchandising. He will support and manage the Production Head and Merchandising Head, ensuring efficient production processes, high-quality output, and alignment with market and client needs. The Operations Head will play a critical role in strategizing process improvements, resource management, and ensuring smooth coordination between departments and stakeholders.

Key Tasks and Activities



Production & Operations Management Oversee the entire production process, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and cost targets.

Support the Production Head in planning and resource allocation, ensuring optimum utilization of artisans and raw materials.

Monitor daily production activities, resolving bottlenecks and implementing process improvements.

Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production workflows.

Merchandising & Client Coordination Lead the merchandising department in developing designs, product assortments, and collections aligned with market trends and client requests.

Ensure seamless communication with clients during the entire design, sampling, and delivery process.

Assist and support the Merchandising Head in client correspondence, quotations, and order management.



Process Optimization & Quality Control Drive continuous improvement initiatives in workflows, reducing wastage and increasing efficiency.

Support Quality Control and Assurance teams in maintaining high-quality standards and certifications.

Standardize reporting and tracking mechanisms for quality, efficiency, and costs.



Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and evaluate Production and Merchandising Heads, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Coordinate training programs targeting artisan skill enhancement, process upgrades, and innovation.

Set KPIs for departmental heads and ensure performance reviews are conducted regularly.



Educational Qualification / Work Experience & Skills :



1. B.Tech/B.E. in Textile , Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial Production with Min 5+ Years of experience into Production & Supply Chain Management with min. 5+ yrs as Plant / Operations Head in Textile Manufacturing Industry.

2. Strong understanding of PPC (Production Planning & Control), Change Management, Demand Forecasting, Inventory Optimization, Supply Planning, Production Planning & Control principles.

3. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing concepts such as 7QC (Seven Quality Control Tools) and SPC (Statistical Process Control).

4. Proven track record of improving operational efficiency by implementing process improvements initiatives

5. Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to delivery.

6. Candidates having experience in Textile Manufacturing will be given preference.

7. Candidates should have experience on ERP Implementation and Deployment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?70,000.00 - ?100,000.00 per month
