The Operations Executive will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day transport activities, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of shipments by road, rail, and coastal modes. This role involves coordinating with customers, vendors, drivers, and internal teams to achieve timely deliveries, maintain service quality, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, monitor, and execute daily transport operations (road/rail/coastal).
Coordinate with clients, drivers, and fleet owners to ensure timely loading and delivery.
Track shipments and update customers on real-time status.
Manage documentation such as LR, POD, invoices, e-way bills, and other transport compliance.
Ensure adherence to safety, legal, and regulatory guidelines.
Handle issues related to delays, damages, detention, or route challenges, providing quick resolutions.
Maintain proper records of transport movements, fuel usage, and cost control.
Assist in vendor management, rate negotiation, and cost optimization.
Work closely with the sales team to support customer requirements and provide operational inputs.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports and daily entries in TMS software.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of transport operations (road, rail, and coastal logistics preferred).
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Problem-solving ability with quick decision-making under pressure.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and TMS
Good negotiation and vendor handling skills.
Attention to detail, with strong organizational and reporting ability.
Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate in any field
2-5 years of experience in transport/logistics operations (preferred in road/rail/coastal).
Familiarity with transport documentation and compliance requirements.
Knowledge of routes, fleet types, and industry practices.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
On-time delivery performance.
Vehicle Tracking on daily basis
Reduction in detention/delay cases.
Cost efficiency in operations.
Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution.
Accuracy of documentation and reports.
