We are looking for an Operations Engineer with strong expertise in operating and monitoring single or twin shaft lime kilns. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent kiln operations, maintaining quality standards of lime, and handling process documentation. The ideal candidate should possess deep knowledge of kiln process parameters, troubleshooting operational issues, and leading the shift team for smooth plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and control operations of single and twin shaft kilns to achieve production and quality targets.
Monitor kiln temperature, fuel ratio, airflow, and process parameters for stable operation.
Ensure consistent lime quality as per required specifications.
Prepare and maintain all operational records, shift reports, and statutory documentation.
Coordinate with the maintenance team to plan preventive shutdowns and minimize downtime.
Identify and troubleshoot operational problems related to raw material feeding, calcination process, and discharge.
Train and guide kiln operators and supporting staff on best operating practices.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental norms.
Assist in commissioning, performance optimization, and process improvements.
Work closely with Quality and Production teams for process control and performance monitoring.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma / B.Tech in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering with 4-6 years of experience in lime or cement industry operations.
Hands-on experience in operating single or twin shaft vertical kilns.
Strong understanding of calcination process, fuel efficiency, and raw material quality impact.
Ability to monitor and analyze process data and take corrective actions.
