Responsibilities:
Operational Strategy:
Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operational efficiency and meet organizational goals.
Procurement and Supply Chain Management:
Oversee procurement activities, including sourcing seafood/food products, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of product quality and safety.
Inventory Management:
Manage inventory levels, forecast demand, and develop inventory control strategies to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
Logistics and Distribution:
Coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including food safety regulations and sustainability guidelines.
Team Leadership:
Lead and motivate a diverse team of operational staff, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve operational objectives.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage budgets for operational activities, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures where appropriate.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment and integration of operational activities with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the seafood or food industry.
Strong knowledge of seafood/food procurement, production, and distribution processes.
Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing operational processes to achieve business objectives.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve peak performance.
Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards in the seafood/food industry.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across functions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems and other operational software tools.
