Reporting to Lead for Carbon Projects, we are looking for a motivated Operations Associate to support and oversee on-ground operations across multiple biochar project sites in India. This role requires frequent travel, strong coordination skills, and the ability to bridge site teams, technology teams, and international clients. The position offers hands-on exposure to carbon markets, industrial operations, and climate project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and support day-to-day operations across project sites pan India with frequent travel.
Coordinate operational matters and escalations internally, including alignment with the
Lead for Carbon Projects
, and externally with clients after internal discussion.
Work closely with Alcom's technology team to support smooth site operations and resolve technical challenges.
Support project reporting requirements, including
Digital Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (DMRV)
by facilitating:
Updates on records of utility bills and receipts.
Updates on receipts for feedstock procurement, biochar production, deliveries, and other operational items.
Share
weekly site updates
with both Alcom's internal teams and client-side stakeholders.
Escalate operational challenges in a timely manner to the technology team through managerial guidance.
Support and coordinate
client site visits
, representing Alcom as the project developer on-ground.
Develop a strong understanding of site operations and do capacity building by adding new team member then training and
delegating tasks
to themas projects scale.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Graduate with
12-19 months of experience
in project coordination or operations.
Backgrounds in
Commerce, Arts, Science, Engineering
, or other relevant disciplines are welcome.
Comfortable planning and executing
short-notice travel
across multiple project locations.
Proficient with cloud and productivity tools such as
Google Drive, SharePoint, and MS Office Suite.
Hands-on, roll-up-the-sleeves mindset with a strong
can-do attitude.
Proactive, self-motivated and highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills in
fluent English
, suitable for interaction with international clients.
Knowledge of
Japanese or other foreign languages
is an advantage but not a requirement.
