About APRE Art House

APRE Art House was founded in 2016. It has newly shifted to a 2400 sq. ft. exhibition space in Colaba. The gallery contributes to the diverse and multi-layered space of modern and contemporary art and creates an innovative platform for its understanding and outreach both nationally and globally.

The gallery has executed several multidisciplinary exhibitions, art fairs, and arts programs over the last two years. APRE offers art enthusiasts and connoisseurs the opportunity to engage with a meticulously selected range of art in diverse mediums. APRE aims to promote plural art culture through regular physical and virtual showcases while also continuing to develop public programming.

Prerna SM Jain has earned her master\'s degree in modern & contemporary art market and its history from Christie\'s Education, New York. She has worked at several art galleries and institutions internationally. She has trained at multiple institutions in France and New York.

About the internship

APRE Art House has an opening for a gallery assistant Intern position. We are based in Colaba and have exhibited in Mumbai, New York & New Delhi. APRE prides itself in its support for emerging artists through APRE Artist Residency Programme, which is conducted at a 10,000 sq ft. facility in Mumbai.

APRE conducts three internship programmes annually. We are all working together with one common goal in mind; to build an innovative art gallery that furthers the boundaries of the contemporary art world with integrity, experimentation, exceptional client service, artist support and teamwork. Our internship programme is an enriching experience. We provide a practical training experience with a key to the gallery\'s business functions and management.

Selected intern\'s day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Assisting with exhibition making
2. Handling day-to-day operations
3. Assisting the director
4. Handling social media
5. Assisting with curatorial programme
6. Conducting industry-oriented research
7. Assisting visitors
8. Providing program and workshops assistance
9. Doing outreach
10. Performing any task assigned by senior management

Requirements:

1. Good communication skills
2. Detail and process-oriented
3. Good interpersonal skills
4. Enthusiastic and willing to learn and educate
5. Fluent in written and spoken English

Note:

1. Tuesday - Sunday, 10am- 7pm
