Job Description



Basic Purpose

This position is responsible for the delivery of payroll services including operations support primarily to UK and other EMEA region based countries, in accordance with Company Service Level Agreements that will ensure accuracy and timeliness as well as full compliance with legislation, company policy and control procedures. The position requires the ability to continuously look to improve the efficiency of day-to-day payroll operations through work process improvements.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for managing and administration of the company Payroll Shared services.
  • Adherence to country statutory compliance guidelines.
  • Accuracy and timely delivery of the payroll transactions and reporting.
  • Review of payroll procedures and conducting a self-audit on the monthly payroll.
  • Ensure to adhere the Sox audit procedures and always maintain a high data confidentiality.
  • Able to work and make quality communication with various departments within the organization, working with payroll vendor and respond to payroll queries as necessary.
  • Payroll audits and reconciliations are executed as per the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure the validation of data to be accurate and truthful.
  • Preparation and submission of monthly, annual statutory contributions.
  • Responding to Tier 3 employee payroll queries within the agreed SLA.


Essential experience
  • 7 - 10 years of payroll operation and administration experience in EMEA region, preferably UK & Ireland.
  • Strong working knowledge of statutory legislation and procedure relating to UK payroll.
  • Working knowledge of a Payroll/HR system and an internal ticketing tool/platform.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of payroll queries from employees and requirements from various stakeholders.
  • Handling of a very high confidential payroll data.
  • Evidence of a confident communication style and clear written communication.
  • Resilience and the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
  • Deliver results with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
