Job Description

The Operation Theatre (OT) Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall functioning of the operation theatre complex. This includes managing OT schedules, ensuring adherence to infection control standards, coordinating with surgeons, anesthetists, nursing, and support staff, and maintaining the highest level of patient safety and surgical efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage all activities in the Operation Theatre department. Plan, organize, and coordinate surgical schedules efficiently. Ensure proper staffing, duty allocation, and training of OT nursing and support staff. Monitor infection control practices and ensure strict adherence to sterile techniques. Maintain availability and functionality of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies. Coordinate with various departments (Anesthesia, ICU, CSSD, etc.) for smooth workflow. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and safety protocols. Prepare and maintain records of OT utilization, equipment maintenance, and staff performance. Conduct regular audits and quality improvement initiatives in OT operations. Handle emergency cases and manage any operational issues promptly.
