1. Operational Management
Oversee day-to-day operations of all operation theatres to ensure seamless surgical workflow.
Monitor and maintain adherence to OT protocols, hospital policies, and accreditation standards.
Ensure preparedness for emergency and crisis situations.
2. Surgical Scheduling & Coordination
Develop and manage surgery schedules in coordination with surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff.
Facilitate effective communication and coordination between surgical teams and supporting departments.
3. Staff Management
Supervise and manage OT staff including nurses, technicians, and support staff.
Ensure adequate staffing, role allocation, and continuous training for team members.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
4. Patient Safety & Infection Control
Implement and monitor infection prevention and control measures within the OT complex.
Ensure compliance with patient safety protocols and quality standards.
Regularly audit and update processes to maintain a sterile and safe environment.
5. Resource & Inventory Management
Oversee procurement, stock management, and maintenance of surgical instruments, consumables, and drugs.
Ensure cost-effective utilization of resources within allocated budgets.
Liaise with biomedical engineering and maintenance teams for equipment upkeep.
6. Process Improvement & Performance Monitoring
Continuously evaluate OT processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and patient outcomes.
Monitor and ensure achievement of KPIs, quality indicators, and operational targets.
Generate and present regular reports to higher management.
