Key responsibilities

Assist in surgery:

Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists during procedures such as cataract, retina, and other eye surgeries.

Prepare the operating room:

Set up the OT with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies before a procedure begins.

Manage equipment:

Handle, clean, and maintain surgical instruments and other necessary equipment.

Ensure sterility:

Follow strict infection control and safety guidelines to maintain a sterile environment.

Provide patient care:

Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including preparing the patient for surgery and helping with post-operative recovery.

Manage waste:

Handle waste disposal according to hospital policies after the surgery is complete.
