Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight

: Manage and supervise day-to-day operations of aviation services, including flight operations, crew management, ground handling, and maintenance coordination.

Compliance

: Ensure all operations comply with local, national, and international aviation regulations (DGCA, etc.), and company policies. Monitor safety standards and ensure compliance with safety audits and inspections.

Team Leadership

: Supervise, guide, and mentor a team of aviation staff, including pilots, ground crew, and support staff. Conduct performance evaluations and ensure staff training and development.

Cost Management

: Monitor and control operational costs, looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary expenditures.

Process Improvement

: Develop and implement operational processes and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce risks, and enhance the customer experience.

Customer Service

: Ensure high standards of service are maintained for passengers and other stakeholders, responding to any complaints or issues with the service promptly.

Maintenance Coordination

: Oversee aircraft maintenance schedules and ensure timely servicing and inspections are completed to ensure operational readiness and safety.

Emergency Response

: Manage the operational response during emergency situations or disruptions, including incidents, delays, and adverse weather conditions.

Reporting & Documentation

: Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting performance metrics, KPIs, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in aviation operations (Preferably Bhubaneswar Airport), with at least 3 years in a management position. Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, industry standards, and best practices. Proven leadership abilities, with excellent team management and communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
