Job Description

The Operations Assistant supports the daily operations of the cinema theatre by assisting supervisors and managers in ensuring smooth show operations, excellent customer service, staff coordination, and compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in day-to-day cinema operations during assigned shifts Support Duty Manager and Supervisors in managing front-of-house, concessions, box office, and ushering teams Help ensure timely opening and closing of shows and auditoriums Monitor cleanliness, seating readiness, and overall guest areas Assist in handling customer inquiries and basic complaints Support crowd control and queue management during peak hours Coordinate with projection, maintenance, housekeeping, and security teams Assist with daily checklists, reports, and operational documentation Ensure compliance with cinema policies, safety, and hygiene standards

Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or diploma/degree in hospitality, management, or related field preferred Previous experience in cinema, retail, hospitality, or customer service is an advantage Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment Basic computer and POS knowledge is a plus

Working Conditions

Shift-based role including evenings, weekends, and public holidays Requires standing, walking, and assisting customers for long periods
