Reviewing reservation requests for accuracy, such as dates and times, and making adjustments where needed
Communicating with customers to resolve issues with reservations or accommodations, including providing information about policies or processes where necessary
Assigning staff to help with reservations during busy times of year such as holidays or summer vacation periods
Reviewing and approving guest lists to ensure that reservations comply with company policies regarding capacity limits
Scheduling staff to ensure that there are enough employees at all times during high volume periods, such as weekends or holidays
Reviewing and approving hotel or resort contracts to ensure that rates and terms are in accordance with company standards
Making sure that reservations are fulfilled and that guests are satisfied with their experience at the property
Monitoring sales activity to identify opportunities for increasing revenue through new business and upselling existing clients
Overseeing the activities of other members of the reservations staff, including receptionists, phone operators, and clerks who handle reservations by phone or in person
