is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of peanut and protein puffs coating and seasoning processes. This includes monitoring raw materials, in-process checks, finished product quality, and adherence to food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control & Assurance:
Conduct quality checks at various stages of coating and seasoning processes.
Ensure that coated peanuts and Protein Puffs meets texture, flavor, and crunchiness standards.
Perform sensory evaluation, moisture analysis, and weight consistency checks.
Monitor seasoning application to ensure uniform distribution and taste accuracy.
2. Raw Material & Process Monitoring:
Inspect raw peanuts, Protein puffs and seasoning powders.
Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent contamination.
Oversee the coating process (roasting etc.) and ensure adherence to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
3. Food Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, GHP and GMP.
Conduct internal audits and hygiene inspections in the production area.
Assist in preparing quality reports, documentation, and regulatory compliance records.
4. Product Testing & Sensory Evaluation:
Conduct periodic sensory tests for taste, aroma, color, and texture consistency.
Assist in developing new seasoning formulations by coordinating with R&D and production teams.
Work with suppliers to ensure consistent seasoning and raw materials quality.
5. Equipment & Process Control:
Monitor machinery, seasoning applicators, roasting units, and packaging lines for quality consistency.
Assist in calibration and validation of packaging & production machinery.
6. Complaint Handling & Continuous Improvement:
Investigate customer complaints related to peanut & protein puffs.
Suggest process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Conduct root cause analysis for quality deviations and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications & Skills Required:

Educational Qualification:
B.Sc / B.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.

Experience:
0-2 years of experience in quality assurance/control in food processing, snack manufacturing, or peanut-based products.

Technical Skills:
Knowledge of food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, etc.)
Experience with moisture analysis, microbiological testing, and sensory evaluation.
Understanding of peanut coating methods (fried, baked, roasted), Protein Puffs and seasoning application.
Ability to operate lab testing equipment (Moisture meters, Bulk density, Total Ash and acid insoluble ash, etc.)
