Role Objective
Clean, stabilize, and migrate an existing OpenCart (older version) website to the latest OpenCart version without data loss, while optimizing server and database infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and optimize the existing server, database, and OpenCart setup
Migrate website from older OpenCart version to latest version
Analyze and understand the current website structure before execution
Map and match all database fields to ensure zero data loss during migration
Handle product, category, customer, order, tax, and custom data migration
Clean unused tables, junk data, logs, and unnecessary server files
Optimize SQL queries and database performance
Work on AWS server (EC2, RDS, backups, security basics)
Coordinate closely with the internal team during execution
Ensure the new website is stable, clean, and launch-ready
Mandatory Skills
Strong experience with OpenCart (core + migration)
Excellent SQL / MySQL database expertise
Hands-on Amazon AWS experience (server handling, backups, security)
Experience in data migration & field mapping
Ability to work on legacy systems and upgrade them safely
Good to Have
Experience with server cleanup & optimization
Understanding of PHP & OpenCart architecture
Prior experience migrating large eCommerce databases

This is strictly an in-house role
Must first understand the full system before starting work
Project-based engagement only (no full-time expectation)
Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 4 weeks
Pay: ?800.00 - ?1,500.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
