Ensure adequate supply of equipment, medicine etc.
Records orders for the treatment of the patients.
Maintains stock of drugs and all other articles in the OPDs.
Responsible for the safety of drugs.
Keeps informed the sister Incharge of any incident of importance.
Reports to the authorities concerned about emergencies, if any.
Maintain correct statistics, e.g. discharge, admission, etc.
Delegates duties to the junior nurses.
b. Related to Patient care:
Is aware of knowledge of the patient regarding their conditions and need for nursing care.
Ensure good nursing care, delegating duties to the staff.
Ensures standards of care.
Takes OPD rounds with the HOD.
Keeps the Senior Nurse / Nursing Superintendent informed about any change in routine activities.
Establishes good liaison with patients and ensures adequate information to them and their relations.
