Job Description

Patient Monitoring:

Continuously observe and assess patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation, and neurological status.

Medication Administration:

Administer prescribed medications, including intravenous fluids, and manage medication dosages based on patient response.

Medical Procedures:

Assist with or perform procedures such as inserting IV lines, drawing blood, and administering oxygen therapy.

Treatment Plan Implementation:

Work with physicians and other healthcare professionals to implement and adjust patient care plans

Primary Healthcare:

They offer basic medical services like wound dressing, first aid, managing common illnesses, and conducting health check-ups.

Health Education:

ANMs educate individuals and communities on hygiene practices, preventive healthcare measures, and disease prevention.

Record Keeping:

They maintain accurate and updated medical records for patients and contribute to the health information system.

Collaboration:

ANMs collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and community health workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Emergency Response:

They are trained to handle basic emergencies and provide first aid in critical situations.

Immunization:

ANMs play a key role in administering vaccinations as per the national immunization schedule.

Community Engagement:

They work closely with the community to understand their health needs and address them effectively.

Monitoring and Reporting:

ANMs monitor the health status of the community, report health trends, and contribute to the overall health information system
