About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and patient Online Tutor in Counselling Psychology to support a senior learner who has returned to academics in their 50s and is currently pursuing the 3rd semester of an MSc in Psychology. The tutor will be responsible for guiding the learner through coursework, concepts, assignments, and academic preparation while providing confidence-building academic support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one online tutoring sessions in Counselling Psychology and related MSc-level subjects.
Explain complex concepts in a clear, accessible manner suitable for adult learners returning to studies.
Assist with academic planning, assignment guidance, exam preparation, and conceptual understanding.
Offer mentoring, study strategies, and motivation tailored to a senior learner.
Ensure consistent communication and maintain a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology (BA/BSc Psychology)
Master's degree in Psychology (MA/MSc Psychology)
Strong understanding of Counselling Psychology concepts
Preferred:
Additional certifications or training in Counselling Psychology
Prior experience teaching or tutoring MSc-level psychology
Experience teaching adult or non-traditional learners
Malayalam-speaking candidates (preferred but not mandatory)
Skills Required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to simplify complex theories for easy understanding
Comfortable delivering online sessions using digital tools
Patience, empathy, and adaptability in teaching style
