We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Science Teacher( IGCSE Cambridge Syllabus) to inspire curiosity and foster a love for scientific discovery among students. Duties
Plan and prepare well-structured lessons tailored to the Cambridge Assessment International Education (IGCSE) syllabus.
Deliver live, interactive online classes using digital teaching platforms (e.g. Zoom, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, or other LMS) -- engaging students with discussions, explanations, interactive activities.
Adapt teaching and lesson plans to accommodate varying student abilities and learning styles (differentiate where needed).
Assign homework, projects, practice exercises, and use regular assessments.
Prepare students for IGCSE examinations: theory, practical (if applicable), exam techniques, revision, past-paper practice, exam format familiarity.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, grades; track progress; prepare periodic progress reports. Communicate with students (and parents, if relevant) about performance and areas for improvement. Indeed+2Akal Academy Baru Sahib+2
Provide additional support as required -- e.g. extra help for weak students, remedial sessions, individual attention, personalized learning plans.
Collaborate (remotely) department heads
administration -- for curriculum planning, resource sharing, and to ensure consistency and quality across teaching.
Stay updated on IGCSE syllabus updates, exam pattern changes, and maintain subject knowledge. Engage in periodic professional development if required.
Qualifications & Skills (Ideal Candidate)
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in the subject being taught With B.ED.
Prior teaching experience -- preferably at secondary level, ideally with IGCSE / Cambridge curriculum background.
Excellent communication skills in English -- written and spoken (important for online teaching and exam preparations)
Comfortable using online teaching platforms, digital tools, and learning-management systems (LMS). Capable of creating and sharing digital resources, presentations, assignments.
Strong organizational skills, ability to manage remote classes, maintain records, plan lessons, schedule classes, track student progress, coordinate with parents/ guardians if required.
